a realization, a wish, and some change

Recently I've been thinking a lot about why I started this here blog and have decided I might make a little switch to the things I post about. I originally started blogging because I joined pintrest about 2 years ago and became OBSESSED with pinning cool ideas and products and photos and crafts. I was introduced to the blog world and wanted a place to compile my own ideas in a more comprehensive place than the pintrest boards. After struggling with a name, design, and overall "theme" to my blog for about 6 months, I finally settled on "Photographs & Memories" with the idea that I wanted to document the things I do in my life. While I definitely still want to do that, I feel like it's sort of turned into more on an online diary and photograph keeper instead of what I initially wanted it to be. I feel inclined to post very select things, always using my own photographs since.. well.. it's in the name.. and feeling weird when I post about fashion or non-photo related subjects. I've marketed the blog to friends and family as a place to share my photography, and while I want a place to share my work, I originally created this blog with a different purpose in mind.

So, I'm thinking of making some content changes in the near future and possibly a brand change (is that a totally awful thing to do in the blog world? I don't want to confuse readers but I'm not thrilled on the current name or brand... thoughts??) I don't want to be all over the place but I want to make sure I'm doing what I want with the blog. Photography will of course still be a huge part of the blog since it's a huge part of my life, but I hope to branch out a little more and write about some other interests as well.

As I'm sure you've all realized, I don't have a select style or type of thing I like (re: see the about me.. I'm all over the place), so I hope this blog serves as a place to safely explore all sides of Anna and try to figure out what exactly I do like and want to be. I'll admit that I am always very cautious of what I post about- I always think, will people like this? will people judge me on what I'm saying? is this "blog worthy"? Moving forward I hope to be able to put my guard down a little more and write about what I want so I'm excited to post instead of dreading it.

Does anyone else struggle with this? I hope this all made sense and appreciate your patience while I figure out what I want to do. I'm so grateful for all you readers and want to provide you with interesting, fun things to read, so if you have any advice or tips about this whole blogging thing please please please feel free to email me!
