a photo a day {namaste}

March 19, 2012

I did not like today. It was a stressful. It was not fun. So when I got home I did some relaxing yoga in my living room. After a half an hour of a random  lady telling me my breathing a technique was wonderful, I took a couple of minutes to close my eyes and relax. And when I opened them again I noticed how cool my fan is.

Dear Rain,

While I love the way you make the world smell so fresh and clean and love curling up with a book while you pound on the window, it's really a pain to have to drive to work in you every day. Lets reschedule for the weekend when I don't have to venture outside. Thank you.

a photo a day {one of those days}

March 15, 2012

Today was just one of those days- I stepped in a huge puddle and had wet feet all morning; got in a fender bender when I was already late; no amount of caffeine or sugar will make my eyes stay open. It was just one of those days where you want to curl up in bed with a good book or movie and avoid the real world for a while. Welp, that wasn't happening, so I did the next best thing to cure my rainy day blues- pizza. Delicious, tasty, greasy pizza. And boy, it sure did the trick.

a photo a day {gridlock}

Today I came across a very interesting story of a man named Jamie Livingston who was an unknown photographer who took a Polaroid photography every day of his life from March 31, 1979 until the day he died on October 25, 1997. The photos range from portraits of friends and families to random interactions on the street to photos of him in the hospital. It's a story of a man who kept a visual record of every day of his life, documenting everything from minuscule details to massive events, and created a unique view of the world through his eyes. It's fascinating to be able to look at the photos as a whole and seeing the story of his life unfold through pictures instead of words. I think this is an amazing way to document your life- so, long story short, from this day on I'm going to take at least photo a day so I can look back on each photo and remember at least one moment of that day.
